IronMan Arc Reactor v3

How to make Iron Man Arc Reactor ? 

Always been a fan of iron man, so has been passed to my son. He to likes IronMan.....

I food some dry runs with Arc reactor.... This is my version 3.  

What do we need

1. A semi transparent cap ( wait for your wife to finish one of those expensive face creams)

2. Black paper

3. 3v battery and holder

4. Blue LEDs

5. PCB and some wire

Step 1: use a sketch pen and scale to draw lines as shown below. I divided it into 8 parts

Step 2: since i donor have a lazer cutter or better tool. I used a metal wire, heated over a candle flame and pinched holes on the cap. 

Clean these holes to look better

Step 3: Take copper wire or any other wire wound it on these holes, about 8 our 9 turns.

I used brown telephone wire. If you use bare copper wire. Remember to insulate it from inside the cap to prevent short circuit.

Step 4: Take black pepper and draw something like this and cut it out. We will put this inside the cap to give nice circuit look as in arc reactor.

Step 5: Circuit contains 4 blue LEDs, a 3v battery and a switch. I fixed it on a small PCB. 

Step6:  Cover back side with a plastic sheet. And we are done.

Use may use a double side tape to stick the arc reactor to your kids shirt.

Note: I used just 4 LEDs as I had only 4 m LEDs. Use 8 to give good brighness. Plus may have to replace with stronger battery
