Decorate your home Mandir with flickering LED Strip 

Hi all,

In this blog I will share how i used IC 555 and LED strip to make a flickering LED lights for my small Mandir at home

What we need

- IC 555

- R1 -1KΩ

- R2 - 10KΩ

- C1 - 33µF

- Universal PCB 

- 9 V battery with holder

- some wires 

- 1 mtr Multicolor LED strip ( I got from Ebay for 300 for 5 mtrs)

- small plastic box ( 1.5 x 2.5")

- push button

- soldering iron and soldering wire

Step 1 : As per the below circuit diagram, solder all components on a universal PCB

Step 2 : Cut the LED strip as per the size and solder as shown

Step 3: Put everything i a plastic box and hide it as shown


Step 4: stick the LED strip on the Mandir

Step 5: Switch on :)
