Pay BBMP Property Tax for First Time

 Hi All,

Before you begin, you need an Application Number. for which you need to visit the nearest BBMP office with a copy of the Absolute sale deed. Follow guidance from BBMP officials to get the application number.

Step 1: Verify Your details

•  Goto to the web site https://bbmptax.karnataka.gov.in/

• Enter the Application and the first 3 letters of your name

• You should get names of all co-owners 
  
  
  
• Press Continue, you will get some instructions, Please read carefully

• Verify your details 
• When you are paying for the first time, none of the fields are editable
• This is typically for 6 months only, depends on when one get OC

Step 2: Update Mobile number

• From the menu or click on url https://bbmptax.karnataka.gov.in/Forms/Mobilenoupdatepublic.aspx, 
• Follow instructions on the screen 
  
  
  
• This is a critical step, as all future information and OTP will be send on this number

Step 3: Pay Your First Property TAX

• Depending on date of registration, building completion date, you may have to pay the previous year (22-23)
• Login to the website https://bbmptax.karnataka.gov.in/ with your application number

• Follow the instructions on the screen for payment
• Once paid, you should download the receipt on the confirmation page
• Verify your details and year
• Store it for future reference on the storage of your choice
• 

Step 4: Pay Property Tax for 23-24

• When paying property tax for the first time, we have to pay for every year one by one.
• Always check the previous receipt and pay for the next year
• Steps for payment remain the same as Step 3, but you may get the option to edit your email id, contact address, and other property details

• Do not change property details unless you know what you are doing
• Just click on Continue and pay the tax
• Again save the receipt for records
• One should get a confirmation by SMS
