It's time to pay property Tax. BBMP has an easy and user friendly site to pay your property tax. And get 5% discount if you pay before 30th April 2019. I am sharing how to pay your tax, just as a help guide. I am not affiliated with BBMP, for any issues contact BBMP and not me
Step 1 : Get Application Number
To be able to pay online, we need to have "SAS Base Application No" from your first tax paid receipt or "Application No" from receipt 2016-2017
Note that the SaS Base Application no is 8 digit number and the New Application number is 10 digit ( starting with 16xxx xxxxx)
Step 2 : Login to Property Tax Site
Site Url : https://bbmptax.karnataka.gov.in/
Use SaS Base application no or application no and click on "Retrive"
You should see your name and co-owner's name in the owner's Name list. If the name doesnot match, check the application number and contact BBMP using helpline numbers as per the website
If you have rented the property or have any changes, please select the checkbox and update information. If in the next screen, we see something is incorrect, we can stop and come back and select this option to edit
Else click the "Proceed" button
Step 3 : Validate your details
Validate your data, address and other details. Please note property zone is auto selected...
Click on "Online Payment" button to pay online.
Complete online payment
I did not face any issues while completely online payment, just in case you get any issues, contact BBMP
Step 4 : Tips
- Disable Popup blocker
- You may face issue that the site is not secured, close the page and reopen
- Use Chrome browser
Step 6 : Generating Receipt current and previous years
- For some reason the PDF receipt does not generate automatically,
- But one can get it using "Download" >"Receipt Print" option
